The USAID photo contest has become a popular avenue for Somali youth to showcase their country's places, people and potential. 

Started in 2020, the contest has gained popularity among photo enthusiasts attracting hundreds of new entrants each year. This year, contest that will run for three weeks and will culminate in the selection of the top three winners from each category and issuance of cash prizes. 

Whether you are an amateur or professional photographer, you can submit up to five photos to the three contest categories of Progress and Development, Landscape and Landmarks or Somali Culture and Heroes and win amazing prizes. 

Winning photographers will be featured in USAID Somalia communications such as calendars, social media, banners and other products.
